About the event
Young people’s mental health is shaped long before a crisis emerges. Everyday relationships, environments, and experiences influence their sense of belonging, purpose, and hope. In this Youth Worker Cafe we explore Search Institute’s 40 Developmental Assets® as a practical, research informed framework for strengthening protective factors that support mental wellness and reduce risk behaviors. Designed for youth serving professionals across roles — from frontline staff and program coordinators to community partners and safety advocates — the Cafe emphasizes how each of us can intentionally build assets as a form of prevention.
