Red Ribbon Week
takes place each year
from October 23 through 31st.

This is the Red Ribbon Mural design winner,
Mia Sanchez, from Logansport High School!
Her teacher, Jen Walker, allowed the class to participate back in October! They won a banner to hang in their school and there will be a downtown mural going up!

Second- and third-place designs are posters we distribute to every school in Cass County.
We kick off the week by decorating the downtown area with Red Ribbons and sidewalk chalk designs.
Thanks to our schools who do a good job getting their students engaged and interested. Every school celebrates Red Ribbon Week. They decorate their buildings and classrooms, they have contests of their own, and they sponsor dress-up days. We are pleased to be able to provide resources and goodies to support the schools.
Contest winners and their families are invited to a Red Ribbon Breakfast where they are honored on stage. They receive a certificate and a gift card. We also recognize our community partners.
Our goal is that Red Ribbon Week gets bigger each year and we can have more community buy-in. With the permanent installation of this mural, we hope that it will help share the message community-wide.
Planning has already begun for Red Ribbon Week 2025. If you are interested in supporting this effort, please contact Nikki at nikki@ysainc.org. We are looking for community partners to help us celebrate all week! We encourage all organizations and businesses to participate in their own way as well. Please follow our website and social media pages to learn where we will install the next mural and to stay up to date on information.
